What is eco-design, and how is Squamish doing with it?

District planner discusses repurposing old industrial areas, density, creating a more walkable community, parking, viewsheds, upcoming parks, and more.

Eco-design basically means integrating the way cities — or districts — are planned so that they are sustainable for people and the environment.

That sounds like something folks in the Sea to Sky could all get behind, ...

Tourism marketers spread the word on vaccine requirements

A number of visitors are forgetting their proof of vaccination in their hotel rooms or bringing the wrong kinds of documents.

Organizations tasked with selling Victoria and B.C. to the world are aiming to get the word out that visitors should keep their vaccination records with them when touring, now that restaurants and other venues require them for entry.

Smooth sailing for Whistler businesses in early goings of B.C.’s vaccine card program

Whistler’s businesses say B.C.’s new vaccine card has gone off relatively smoothly in the initial stages, but there is hope that the province will lend some funding support to cover the added labour costs.

Launched on Sept. 13, the program has so far proven to be relatively straightforward for local establishments—although the full scope of the initiative is likely to take shape in the coming weeks.

Well, August proved to be a very quiet month on the home front for the Hudson's and so, I have decided to reserve this section to congratulate Paula Funes on passing her Real Estate Exam and being on track to get her real estate license.

As many of you know, Paula has been my right hand for a couple of years now and I can not express how lucky I am to work with her.  Paula is an incredibly bright lady, that is one of the most efficient people I know, with perhaps one of the most impressive work ethics I have seen.  As Paula becomes licensed, you will hear more and more from her as her responsibilities and roles are able to expand to include discussing real estate matters with clients. So, when you hear from Paula in the near future, please remember to congratulate her on a job well done and thank her for keeping everything we do to the level that you expect.
